Hundreds of Indian villagers rescued a baby elephant from being on the verge of collapse

Villagers carried 100 kg baby elephant on brink of collapse to safety that appealed millions of viewers.

The incident occured in a village at the Athagarh Forest Division of Odisha, India, whereby a group of famers found the calf beside a canal about three kilometres from their village and he appeared so painful.

The baby elephant is reported to have collapsed because of dehydration and hunger. After seeing it was too weak to walk, the heroic farmers made a decision on adopting the 100 kg calf and carry it on their shoulder. The situation quickly spread and hundreds of villagers participate in the congregation, with many shouting slogans and cheering the calf on.

A local person named Bibu Das, 23 years old, said that: "Many people saw the caf as a good omen for the village and wished to adopt him."

It's a true show of kindness and solidarity. As you can see in the video, dozens of people came together to support each other and most importantly make sure that little elephant calf could recovered from this collapse.

After the calf was taken to forest officials who saw it was in poor health, it was sent to a government veterinary facility for treatment and care. 

A forest official said that: "After the little baby elephant recovers, we will make a great effort to help him reunite with his herd."

Recently, there is an incident like that. Baby elephant was rescued from becoming trapped at the bottom of a well with a digger in incredible rescue mission. Villagers were alerted by the screams of the elephant after it felt into the well covered by bushes in the Dhenkanal district, near Mahulupuju village in India. A Forest Department official forged a path using a digger to create an exit for the elephant, so it was able to climb out of the hole.

In conclusion, we should protect wild animals from danger or being on the verge of losing their life to balance ecosystem.
