But she mysteriously vanished from social media earlier this year – before reappearing last month with a striking new look, calling herself ‘Barbie’.

The young Chinese model appears to be sporting large round eyes, paler skin and a noticeably more pointed chin and nose.

But fans have slammed Cammy’s new look and said she looked better before her makeover – with others suggesting she had undergone cosmetic surgery.

One fan called Hong Chao wrote: ‘You were beautiful and sweet in the past, now you look so strange. I think you were better before.’

Another said: ‘It’s a fake face and eyes. Now you look ugly and scary. You are like an alien.’

Meanwhile, some viewers cruelly called her ‘the snake’s daughter’, the nickname of a female character in the Chinese cartoon Calabash Brothers, who has a pointed chin and nose, large eyes and arched, thin brows.

Cammy made her return to Internet modelling by removing all the previous pictures and videos of herself, dubbing herself ‘Barbie Cammy’

And she hit back at critics, saying she was happy with her new look.

She said: ‘It’s just the look of aliens, but my heart is still very good. The appearance is my own and I like it. I am happy.’

Cammy joked that she ‘worshipped’ another Chinese plastic surgery fan dubbed the ‘snake man’ for his large eyes and pointed chin and ‘wanted to achieve the same look’.
